Rare Ataxite

A Hoba partial slice originally from the Jim Scwade collection arrived. This was metal, not shale- a very important distinction. Not only was this very old sample curated in quite good condition, but its provenance is well published. That is important for verifying the solid integrity of a meteorite whose importance is its place within the history of our planet and society at large. This sample will no doubt make an excellent example in future educational talks.
