Though difficult, it is possible to to identify a specimen as a meteorite from pictures alone. What is far easier is to identify a specimen as a meteor-wrong. Claims of having found a freshly fallen meteorite are easier to validate than claims to having found a meteorite with a greater terrestrial age. I can help you sift through you interview to determine what is trues and what is not.
